5 stars When this record first came out, I didn't know or care to know what progressive music was. Being a pre-teen in the post Woodstock era I just wanted music that sounded good on my panasonic all in one turntable-radio-8-track. This music sounded good. I loved the vocal harmonies, the guitar, and Phil Ehart's underrated drumming. The reason this record scores a five on my chart is simple. It was my first, although unknowingly, prog record I ever owned. From this record spawned my love for bands like Rush, Rainbow, and Styx. Now that I'm a forty something I can look back and say that this record is why I am now listening to stuff like Pain of Salvation, Enchant, and IQ. If it influenced me it surely has influenced many current bands. One last thing, A good gage for me when looking at older music is how it sounds now as opposed to then. Most of this record still sounds fresh. To the prog collector, this is a must have addition for your collection
