3 stars The Way We Walk Volume One: The Shorts consists predominantly of the hits taken from Invisible Touch and We Can't Dance. (The exception being Mama). It's a pity that Abacab is missing.

The title is actually a line from the 1973 release "I know What I like" from Selling England by the Pound.

As we have come to expect the playing and the production standards are excellent although all the tracks are perhaps too close to the studio versions. The weakest track is "Hold on to my Heart" which should have been replaced by Abacab.

Although well executed these are not prog songs. It is difficult to recommend this to anyone other than Genesis fans since pop fans would already have the Invisible Touch and We can't Dance albums.

3 stars. Not Essential.
