This started out as being my fall-asleep-to album. But more and more, when I listen to it, I get this sense of euphoria that I get from very few other albums. Prog Archives calls it Space, and I call it Atmosphere. I think there is a difference. This is more guitars/keyboards/bass/drums/vocals creating atmospheres, not emulating the sounds of space and time. It is an intense album. Key tracks being the one of Vanilla Sky, #4 Njósnavélin , #7 Popplagio and #3 Samskeyti. The whole album is in Hopelandic, a language Sigur Ros have created specifically for this album. It is not Icelandic, their native origin. Anyway, listen to this. It's heavenly and incendiary!
