Unlike the first albums, Zeit and Alpha Centauri, this record has beat and is quite less monotonous or linear. The structure is a bit more elaborated, and there are many mellotron parts. As it is the case for all the early Tangerine Dream albums, there are several scary psychedelic moods that make those albums not convenient for parties. There are even some acoustic instruments like flute, which express well what is desolation and solitude.
