4 stars Talking about progressive Music, the name of Litto Nebbia is something that should be handled with care. You will find several moments here and there browsing his doscography along the 70´s that could may sound as progressive if you pay close attention but all along his enormous entire body of work his main strengths takes many other paths. Style-wise no doubt "Fuera Del Cielo" (1975) is one of his two most progressive output, sub-label it as Latin Jazz prog, keeping in mind you are hearing a huge argentinian singer/composer and multi-instrumentalist who has a very personal unique singing and playing style, which may not be everyone ´s cup of tea.

This fantastic album starts with the longest track ever recorded by Nebbia. Clocking at more than 17 minutes, "Fuera Del Cielo" ´s first dreamy, experimental seconds seems to pay homage to those first sounds of "Close To The Edge". Similarities, if any, however will last a couple of minutes. Apart from the tight interplay between Nebbia, Jorge Gonzalez (Bass & choruses) and Nestor Astarita (Drums and percussion), there´s the lyrics penned by Mirtha Defilpo who masterfully describes lonliness, melancholy and other facts of life always with deeply emotional , sometimes a bit criptic poetry and metaphors.

If you just discovered Nebbia´s music, and the likes and you dig jazz and progressive music, "Fuera Del Cielo" should be your next listening experience, keeping in mind that Nebbia has a body of work of a hundread of albums of his own penned songs, with a wide variety of musical styles and ideas some of them lacking the playing and compositional majesty of great albums such as "Fuera Del Cielo".
