ROMANTIC WARRIOR

I just finished listening to this album for the firs time. I am very new to jazz/rock fusion or whatever label this is. I can tell its very well made. It has fantastic musicianship, but hardly any heart. Its like those guitar players that can shred a guitar but produce nothing that is memorably melodic. There are moments that stand out. The title track is 11 minutes long and out of those, there is a total of maybe 1-2 minutes that slightly draw my attention to the music. That is too little for an 11 minute piece. This album has a massive brain, but the heart is the size of a walnut. I rather listen to something as pedestrian as "Paramore" with their walnut sized brain, but orange sized heart. I rate this album 2 stars for its technical prowess.
