STARLESS AND BIBLE BLACK

Starless and Bible Black. A good album, with downright boring lifeless songs throughout. That being said, it also has some of Crimsons greatest in The Great Deciever, The Night Watch and Fracture. If you're still not a believer in Fripps guitar skills throw on Fracture and let your mind be blown. Trio is enjoyable, the whole track is basically David Cross's. It seems that King Crimson was running out of material after LTIA, as a number of these tracks are recorded live and some even improvised, because of this, some of it is just progressive noodling. The kind of thing where nothing happens for the entire song. Despite these tracks SABB is still a worthwhile recording. The weekest by the Wetton era, but that aint saying much.
