4 stars I am a fan of Dream Theater, i really am. This album from maestro Jordan Rudess is something different in progression in many ways. We may say that it continues where Feeding The Wheel album stopped. It has better over all sound production, complex arrangements, more grandious and its more metal, which i like the most. Guests on the album are all hard core pros and they give the album amazing atmosphere. Sure, it have that industrial theatrical vibe thru out the album, and different diversions thru arrangement of compositions. Solo parts are aggressive on synth passages, sometimes are standard DT sounds, sometimes are Jordans great fantasy , spacey, jazzy sounds, very his own thing. There are a lot of ELP influences on approach to timings and style, but , again, it is very Jordan Rudess, ladies and gents. A very fun album to listen to overall. I can easily give this album 4 stars and its that good.
