CIVILIZATION PHAZE III

I'd like to say this album is worth getting for the artwork alone (it's really nice), but I just can't. I am a full-fledged Zappaphile and I just can't sit through two discs of random noise like this. Zappa really could have used a good editor from time to time. But he did fight long and hard to achieve total artistic control. One thing you can always say about Zappa's albums is they sound like they do because that's the way he wanted it. The only part I like is the almost peaceful ambient neighborhood sounds at the very end...lawnmowers, barking dogs, and gunshots.
