DARK MATTER

In the Prog world, a five-track album is not something new, but ther's always something new when it comes to IQ. This Star-class band has got itself a new masterpiece, then one of the greatest albums ever recorded on Neo-Prog history. Altough Clearly (oh, not again) influenced by Peter Gabriel era Genesis, "Dark Matter" has a different edge, a darker one, provided by Orford's musical sense of space and the emotionally deep background of the Mellotron, and with a thicker sound provided by John Jowitt's bass playing. A true masterpiece, and probably 2004's most commented album. Favorite Tracks: "Sacred Ground" (perfect intro track) and "Harvest Of Souls" (anyone remembers "Supper's Ready").
