CUCKOOLAND

I wanted to love this album, since all of the necessary items are "present and accounted for". Unfortunately, there is one element that should have been left on the cutting room floor. Mr. Wyatt has decided he can play the trumpet, and that he should play it on almost every song. There are several tracks here that would've been great, were it not for the inclusion of the aforementioned affliction. He even includes a trumpet part on a song that's mainly spacy syntesizers, ruining the effect completely. A few tracks survive intact, making it a worthwhile (but ultimately disappointing) album.
