3 stars The other day, it was the 20th anniversary of this album, the first recording of SB without Neal Morse. And it's different of course, it's like a different band, but if you have that in mind, it is a very nice record.

"Onomatopoeia", open the album, really in your face, a cool vibe. Then you have some more Spock-ish songs like "The Bottom Line" with abrupt changes of sections or "East of Eden, West of Memphis", with Alan and his crazy solos.

But, the best part of the album is the epic track "A Guy Named Sid". Really underrated track! Nick's vocals and drums are incredible, Meros with his mesmerizing bass lines, aggressive riffs, Ryo with his mellotron and solos, and the a cappella moment "Sid's Boys Choir" - an SB trademark, and even without Neal it's a great counterpoint track. The whole suite reminds me a bit of "Snow" but with new flavors.

I don't know why so much hate, haha... Ok, Neal is not there, but if you considered it as a different band, because they became a different band, it's a nice record.
