4 stars Although I can hardly consider myself being a fan or an antifan of anybody (with exception of Tony Levin, who is the best bassplayer ever), I can say that Allan Holdsworth is one of the most interesting musicians I've ever heard. Standing outside any strictly determinate genre he brings many important qualities into rock or jazz. This album is a perfect example of his musical potential: Clever (not "smooth") harmonies, nice melodies, great solos; with addition of superb playing by all present musicians and non-pathethic vocals. When I heard the title track for the first time I was just amazed by those weird licks - combination of Pythonesque humour and "I want do things like I want"-gesture. That's what I feel listening to Holdsworth's music - and it's also why I like that music so much...
