2 stars Review #15!

I wanted to like 'The Wall' because I like Pink Floyd, but there were two particular elements that made me dislike this album. (A)I personally found Roger Waters's vocals to be at their absolute worst on this record. (B)The blob of one-minute songs piecing each song to the next like a puzzle piece was just not for me. So many tracks felt largely unnecessary to the plot of this album, I feel I could pick and choose songs to shorten the album to a single disc and leave the album's concept unharmed. These unnecessary tracks made the album lag on, and I was bored at parts, particularly at the end, after 'The Trial'. But this review was not written to hate on this album. There are honestly some great elements in this record: classic rock anthems like 'Young Lust', 'Comfortably Numb', and 'Another Brick in the Wall, Pt. 2' are loved still today. Hidden gems like 'Empty Spaces' and 'Nobody Home' are great additions to anyone's definitive Pink Floyd playlist. But, in my opinion, the cons outweigh the pros this time. On the lower end of Pink Floyd's discography, methinks.
