4 stars (Note: I'm reviewing the vinyl version which has 3 extra songs, compared to the standard CD version.)

Yet another solid album from these non-compromising Norwegians. During one week they recorded 16 tracks of which 14 comprises this album (!!!)

This album is probably one of the best examples of why they have been put in the eclectic category here on Prog Archives. It starts off with a psychedelic intro (Sideway Spiral I), continues into their biggest hit ever (Walking On The Water) before noise/drone metal from hell (Heartattack Mac), more psychedelia (PPP) and more pop/rock (In The Family). Then midway, they turn into prog/metal/psychedelia territory and deliver one space-rock anthem (Un Chien D'espace is King Crimson on acid in space after watching Bunuel and Fellini movies), one Heartattack Mac sequel, and one instrumental jam with wah-wah guitars and spoken quotes from the Henlein book Have Spacesuit Will Travel.

The remaining 5 songs can be described as: Rocking version of track 1, another pop/rocker, lo-fi piano/mellotron ballad, another pop/rocker and noise metal to end the album.

Originally I would give this album 3 stars, but because of the 14 minute Un Chien D'espace which is one of the best space-rock songs ever, I had to bump the rating up one star. The rest of the songs are a mixed bag, but still some solid material there.
