5 stars I am surprised no one has commented on this album yet. For this review, I am solely concentrating on the Remix of the controversial Tales From Topographic Oceans album, as it finally allows the lovers and haters to reunite. (Full disclosure I am no purist myself, I just like good music). Because Wilson has cut the 4 massive tracks into 20 tracks, with each album side being broken into 5 parts, the haters can finally skip over, or better yet make a compilation of their favorite parts of the album. Try it. I did it with 11 tracks, and think the album becomes something completely new, that will get many more repeated listens, and would leave Wakeman with a half filled bowl of Curry by the time it was done. I think, this compilation even jumps past Fragile in my mind. But certainly it cannot surpass The Yes Album, or Close to the Edge. I wish Wilson cut up Starship Trooper into separate parts, but again hard to complain about anything about this Compilation, and the time spent obsessively combing over these masterpieces.
