One of the greatest prog recordings of all time. The longer tracks present mastery in every way. It is literally made up of three longer pieces: Roundabout, South Side of the Sky, and Heart of the Sunrise, and shorter tracks. In their next three recordings they would forget about these shorter tracks altogether. But even the shorter tracks have a diversity to offer. One in particular quotes straight from classical music, and Steve Howe's 'Mood for a Day' is a nylon string classical guitar break that adds diversity and shows the clear influences of classical music on Yes's music, and prog in general. Heart of the Sunrise is one of Yes's greatest works. Drifting from beautiful slow sections and contrasted with up beat riffs. All has already been said about this album to go into too much detail. A prog masterpiece no doubt.
