4 stars And when 2009 turned to annals, it happened that with a trick of the tail it further enriched our music collection! "Whisper and Screams" is a higly enjoyable record, full of progressive elements, but not only, blues touches are indeed adding value rather than dimming lights on the work. Nice melodies are here, varied landscapes are offered and only one number (the last one, "...Then In July, The Thunder Came " fails to be interesting). Calm, crafted lulling pieces ("When the Morning Comes", "The Horsemen Ride") makes counterpoint to burning guitar and keybord riffs like in "Captain Trip", "The Big Fire", "The Hand of God". Excellent, thorough also are both the longer numbers "Willoughby" and the easier "Angel". As s fan of Little Atlas, I can spot similar sound build-up, in addition to other nods captured by previous reviewers. 4 full stars no less!
