ASTRA

As far as the John Wetton-era Asia albums go, this is probably my favourite. And yes, I am not ashamed to admit I am an Asia fan. Astra goes for a more symphonic sound than their earlier releases, but to me it is that epic style of melodic rock that made Asia such a wonderful listen. Sure it isn't prog, but it's highly enjoyable AOR with the odd progressive sparkle here and there. If you're small minded, you will not enjoy it at all. If you like earlier Asia releases, there is a chance you may like Astra.
