5 stars Impressive and perfect debut album. Highly influential, highly engaging, no weak track on this one.

21st Century Schizoid Man (Including Mirrors) - What a way to start an album and what an introduction to King Crimson. The whole band shines, but I want to highlight the brilliant drumming by Michael Giles and the quintessential Fripp solo 10/10

I talk to the wind - After a blasting start, KC shows they also can play softly in a beautiful way. Another classic. 10/10

Then up is Epitaph. Such a beautiful song. So well played. Another 10/10

I see how Moonchild is an odd track on this album. It is a composition that has little to no connection with the rest of the album. As long as it is, this has quite an impact on the listening experience. Not everyone is a fan of this style of music. I like it. But I believe the album would be better with a track from In the wake of Poseidon instead of this one. 8/10

The Court Of The Crimson King is the perfect album closer. King Crimson delivered perfection from beginning to end. 10/10

I'm not going to take a star off because of Moonchild. This is track is another fascinating part of King Crimson. Improv is a huge part of what they were. And the rest of the album is perfection.

So this is a 5-star album for me.
