This is a very underrated album in the Frank ZAPPA discography: it maybe doesn't contain his best or most popular songs but certainly, it includes some very entertained songs that bring back a lot from earlier albums such as "You are what you is", "Ship arriving too late", "Sheik yerbouti" and even "Joe's Garage". The songs on the album are mainly short pieces with scarce instrumental sections, Hard Rock tunes but it actually doesn't have as punchy drums, fuzzy basses, and insane guitar solos as "Ship arriving too late", this is more accessible for fans of relaxed and not very complex material that ZAPPA was able to create once in a while.

Usually, I try to diversify the rates of the songs that an album includes, but in this case, I really believe all the songs are in the same level of quality: great but not absolutely fantastic ones; this is a record to play from time to time without expecting to get our heads blown but being ready to enjoy some good old fashioned Hard Rock with the unique ZAPPA comic style that characterized his music.
