4 stars This is the closest thing to Supertramp since Supertramp. And it is as close as possible. Vocals are Supertrampesque, lyrics are Supertrampesque, piano are and sax are as well. Most openings are, So what is missing from the puzzle ? Well, it is a bit weak on the orchestration/prog side. It's weak in dynamic range except for a pair of tracks,

If you are bying this album track by track and your budget is tight, go straight to "Along came Mary", "Hungry" (in the vein of In The Eye Of The Storm, which, by the way, is inferior to this album in my opinion), and "Open the door", which is the only fully perfect Supertramp, song of the set. "Love is a thousand times" is clearly pop-style but pleasant nevertheless.

As for the rating, I would go for 4.5 for Supertramp fans, 4.0 for every one else.
