SPECTRAL MORNINGS

Overll, an excellent album by HACKETT, probably his 2nd best behind Voyage of the Acolyte. This album has 2 of HACKETT'S best songs on it, Everyday and Spectral Mornings. The extended guitar solo on Everyday may be my all time favorite, and Spectral Mornings is just an incredibly bequtiful instrumental number with HACKETT'S guitar as the centerpiece. The rest of the album is also very good, but only these 2 songs approach the level of masterpieces. While STEVE HACKETT is one of my favorite musicians, I find it true of most of his studio releases that a few great songs are joined with a number of good songs, and this album fits right into that mode. Still, highly recommended.
