Just bought this one today, as it was the last one missing in my collection. I'll make this review short and sweet, mainly for keeping the memory of this "one of a kind" album alive on the level of activity on this site.

The preceding review by PlanetRodentia2 says it all. XII Alfonso classic prog credentials are quite evident as their body of work is concerned. So, one having a superficial listen on this one may think that Djenné is devoid of that "prog principle". This would be a gross error. Yes nothing can be furthest of prog than African music and rythms. And that's why exactly this record is oh! so proggy! The whole concept is sort of revolutionary for occidetal ears accustomed to certain musical choices. A courageous option and one which will test the openess of many a prog afficionado. At the end a very rewarding listen.
