WISH YOU WERE HERE

People......stop saying this is a masterpiece. yes it is good music, and a very good album. and yes i will agree that any prog lover should own it, and any floyd fan should own it, but, now this is just my opinion, it is not their best work. the song, "wish u were here" I could care less if I never heard it again for the rest of my life. they lost a little creativity with this album, but it's ok cuz it's good music. 'shine on' is a nice song.....I am not lucky enough to see them do it, but I was fortunate enough to see the band "the machine" do it live and it was very powerful. easily own this..... but i would not put it quite up there with 'selling england by the pound', 'larks tongues in aspic', 'exit stage left', or mahavishnu's 'birds of fire'. if anyone is even still reading this review, yes this and 'dark side...' are good albums and must-listens.... but I have always needed that raw floyd era-meddle and obscurred. just havin fun people
