One more great record of the Giant.

"In a glass house" is Gentle Giant's fifth album and the first one as a quintet since Phillip Shulman had felt the band, but Phillip's absence didn't affect the quality and creativity of the compositions, actually this is considered as Gentle Giant's best record in the TOP 100 that this website offers (I really like "The power and the glory" and "Octopus" more than this one but that doesn't make it a bad record at all).

Once again, I can't minimize any of the songs because I really feel all of them are brilliant. The formula of Jazzy/Medieval rock they showed in earlier records remains in "In a glass house", Gentle Giant is one of those bands that could create a very unique and recognizable style of music without getting repetitive, monotonal, or boring, that's something I can't say about a lot of bands. It is hard to choose favorite songs from an album that has a selection of such great pieces, so I'll just leave it to the imagination. Don't hesitate if you haven't heard this album, it's absolutely fantastic.

SONG RATING: The runaway, 5 An inmates lullaby, 5 Way of life, 5 Experience, 5 A reunion, 4 In a glass house, 5

AVERAGE: 4.83

PERCENTAGE: 96.67

I ranked this album #35 on my TOP 100 favorite Progressive Rock albums of all time.
