I came across A Storm of Light just yesterday, and I'm pretty glad I happened to find them. I didn't know where to start so I made my decision based on what album cover I thought looked the best. It was Anthroscene.

I was excited after hearing the first song, because this album is a great fusion of industrial rock and post metal, two of my favorite styles of music. Musically, the album reminded me of Filth Pig era Ministry, which was also a slow, burning sludgy and industrial album. The fact that A Storm of Light can mix those two genres together and still stay true to their post metal roots is beyond anything I could have imagined. Along with the socially - aware lyrics, the band also employs grinding bass, and atmospheric guitar parts.

Anthroscene is not an essential post metal or progressive metal album, but it is still very well done. I found a lot of personal enjoyment from it. Hopefully you can, too. For the industrial rock/metal fan and/or the post metal fan, not for individuals who are just getting into the genre(s). I really look forward into getting into more of this bands music.
