THE PROBLEM OF PAIN: PART 1

Could this be? Could this be the anti-Close To The Edge? I've been looking for the lowest rated album for months to see how bad it really is and this work seems to be it. Take in note that this is in no way a review to make this album get an even lower rating, no. This album is genuinely as bad as everyone here is saying it is, but I still wanted to give it an opportunity.

Anyways, "The Problem Of Pain: Part One" is Torman Maxt's third album. It features infuences from Rush (especially 2112 era) and Dream Theater (especially Images And Words era) and implements them into a concept album about Job, the Bible character.

Well, what can I say? Those infuences get implemented in the absolutely worst possible way. Composition errors plague this album which is horrifying, since it makes a full listen highly uncomfortable and painful. Songs are really short and don't have time to develop themselves, they simply just end or transition to the next one. The mood of most tracks doesn't get along with what its actually happening (sad situations with happy music or vise versa). Vocals are really unprofessional to the point where they go off- tune (yes, even with layers of auto tune, dear god) on multiple points. The list goes on.

I just don't get why you would make an album if you're still learning music. It's like if a person designed a bridge without knowing physics. I honestly don't even think it deserves one star, because that implies someone would actually want to collect all Torman Maxt albums, which I doubt.

I guess the reviews are right, this really is a one star effort.
