OPIATE (EP)

When i was a little child i have to admit that this album dislikes me in every way... i seemed too visceral, too strident, an album very simple, straightforward and easily understood... after years, it appeared to me an album full of dark compositions, sounds very dry, twisted melodies and letters directly influenced by existentialism and nihilism, and today after nearly 10 years to hear this album for the first time, I realize that was wrong with the sound of opiate tool that was about to take shape seemed very important, and so, with the passing of time... Undertow, Aenima and Lateralus his last major work, with such albums as not only claimed a great band with their own sound but it reaffirmed, and throughout its existence have given much to talk with discerning Undertow many other bands that eventually resume that part loud and metallic, dark, enigmatic, who made a unique reference tool...
