4 stars The Yes Album is the third studio album by the English band Yes which was released in February of 1971, which came out a few months before there classic album Fragile. The instrumentation on this album is excellent, Chris Squire always puts on a stellar performance, and Steve Howe did a really good job with the awesome acoustic guitar segments, even though his electric tones are not always that good. The production is tight, almost all the songs are great, its beautiful at times and fun at times. It has everything I want in a Yes album, but I do not think its perfect. 4/5 But an essential album in any progressive rock collection.
