THE INCIDENT

OK I'll admit it, at first I was totally disappointed. This was the album I had waited such a long time for! It was supposed to be an instant masterpiece! Right? Wrong! This one takes way more than one lousy listen to understand it's beauty. It gets better the more you listen to it because the concept is a little tricky but after you get the concept you get the album. I had the same problem with Fear of a Blank Planet and even Dark Side of the Moon. The music is just plain beautiful and atmospheric, just the way I like it, and although Time Flies seems pretty corny at first you get to love. I know it seems Wilson has gone commercial, but this is the kind of stuff we want to be commercial. If you gave this album up on the first listen, try another because it may end up being one of your favorites.
