3 stars 1 Invisible Touch attack frankly, GENESIS moves away from GENESIS, the dance tempo, the pop rhythm, the easy Wavian keyboards, the melody that flirts to be played on the radio, high treason for some progs; well the radio edit anyway that made GENESIS known to the young people of the 80s, Phil not being the first drummer to come along! 2 Tonight, Tonight, Tonight and the slap just for the duration, yes a 9 minutes that raises questions; at the beginning it is very synthetic, the unstoppable melody, Phil who sings well, expressive, without makeup, and then this chorus that seems not to stop; bang at the third the progressive drift, yes but with a new-wave sauce we agree; you have to get used to it or not, it is lack of warmth although the keyboard becomes languid; yes the prog Charisma makes its revolution; Phil comes back and tells us that well we shouldn't criticize before listening, the prog blood is still there; yes in the John CARPENTER way, that is to say easy to access but there is a response; very repetitive ending... 3 Land Of Confusion and the boosted, effective MTV clip; the puppets, the parody of the situation, the chorus, the parody, the choirs, the parody, Rambo, the president, the prime minister, the dictator, 2001 with the bone still makes me laugh, the heavy riff that boosts the song, a hell of a confusion that is ultimately very funny, until the final red button; I almost forgot to talk about the song, but you have it in mind 4 In Too Deep with the synthetic ballad of synthetic, everything is electric, the voice is bee geesian, the marshmallow ballad, the rare crystalline guitar, Tony's piano, the synth pop that flows all by itself; GENESIS has changed its tune and we have to accept it, but what a killer chorus all the same

5 Anything She Does with Benny as a guest trooper-guardian introducing this title; we are indeed on the lands of Albion for the antics, which will save the album for daring to parody itself; the track winks at BRAND X with the brass, GENESIS loses its soul but manages to come out with a bluffing dance rhythmic tune; well do I continue or do I stop?

6 Domino in 2 parts, drum machine, synth-pop yes but classy, ah that calls out to me... I continue; the chorus that does the job, airy, modern; bang 4 minutes and the clean break, superb.. and it goes straight to this catchy beat worthy of a TANGERINE DREAM, guaranteed impulse effect; electronics have taken possession of the Genesis soul but Tony shows that he still knows how to come out with melting melodies; Chester comes to help him live and boosts this progressive pharaonic title 7 Throwing It All Away with a sharp riff from Michael as if he adapted well to Steve's departure; well the feeling is not there, but the tune is; a little piano and again this very clear voice of Phil who often saves the scores; rhythmic ballad, tribal, with a burning groovy 8 The Brazilian comes to conclude this controversial album with this very synthetic instrumental, too much yes, but well done, energetic, a catchy setting with these pad rolls and the melody which suddenly slips in; this tune so simple at first, so fat, so intense giving pride of place to the electronics of the 80s revisited by one of the masters of keyboards, it gives this enjoyable progressive finale with a warm guitar solo in addition which warms the heart; yes GENESIS understood well what it took to remain famous.
