2 stars 1. Mama yes the famous drum machine the Linn LM1 drum machine by Mike, yes the synth that starts from afar; yes this sound that will horrify some... Ah this tune that will be played on the airwaves, MTV we love you, and that will make new fans of these popular sounds happy but not only... ah the heat, ah the holiday atmosphere with this title with a millimeter crescendo; ah ahahahah, damn he steals my word too; ah the synth that gets into it clear, danceable, airy, progressive yes I write it; GENESIS is dead, but reborn in another format whether we like it or not we have to... progress! Well this finale that cleans everything in its path, this crazy hit from Phil and Mike's guitar that does the job, phew a little guitar 2. That's All for the ballad of Abacab, the sound is well anchored; consensual with a tune from Tony's keyboard and the striking of the typical pads; it is to be enjoyed without moderation, and to listen to in the car on the radio; boom boom goes the drums and that's it 3. Home by the Sea for the heavy riff boasting a velvety keyboard as not possible, Liebig surely; this synth that looks more new-wave than prog, ah yes prog was well and truly over anyway; well a little prog latency in the middle just to cast doubt again, hovering and Phil who adds another layer with his metronomic voice, even more than the percussive pad, yes I repeat myself. The finale ah prog too and latent ambient, I am troubled and the sequence with 4. Second Home by the Sea amplifies this feeling that the prog 80 will survive the wave; a keyboard, a tune to the future soundtracks of John CARPENTER, easy but heady as if synths could produce beautiful things. Out with the drum pad sound, out with the voice, in with the prog-resist derivation, yes that of the Belgian magazines too; the easy solo but the guitar solo feels good, introducing Phil for the outro of this progressive intro, yes GENESIS dared

5. Illegal Alien with the second part, yes the CD also avoids turning the cassette over. The TV also broadcasts clips, this plus of the 80s so listen to the clip and watch the air just to certify that there will be only three of them; a pop rock sound, Phil's prog trumpet that reminds us that BRAND X exists, trumpet that will give an idea to BIG BIG TRAIN and that XTC had already used, the piece that is worth watching even if it is ... consensual; well the purist will have already skipped 6. Taking It All Too Hard for the synth-voice ballad that brings nothing new and that falls into the mawkish, slowly but surely; no insult, we feel somewhere ballads from some previous albums but it's a bit short 7. Just a Job to Do as a hit B-side for the heady synth; to pass and to move on to something else because it sounds too much like a rehash of another title from the... side A, yes I had the cassette at the beginning 8. Silver Rainbow for the monolithic, melodic ballad and the anguish of seeing his favorite group plunge into a sound too superficial, lacking progressive corners 9. It's Gonna Get Better nice intro and Phil who plays groovy; fresh with the rhythm guitar, cottony with the synth, we would say we are in a soft new-wave album; well by opening the musical chakras well we feel a whiff of the 70s of GENESIS with four, yes but really far away and too disparate.
