3 stars 1Abacab And Then had shown the first attempt to be 3, the fabulous Duke avant-garde for the prog of the 80s; yes but Phil had other ideas and this radio edit title with its air of Mike on the guitar riff, Tony's keyboards showed the future track of the great GENESIS; if there was only one left it would be him, FLOYD were killing each other, YES had more or less exploded, so GENESIS was going to merge the synths of the new-wave with the prog of yesteryear, the rest, this hit will make the hair of the progists fall out 2 No Reply At All with The EWF Horns and their brass, yes BRAND X is not far, it was even the fear of a fusion but Phil had still understood that it was necessary to dissociate these two styles; why GENESIS was able to surf on the 80s, well the melodies 3 Me And Sarah Jane with a whiff of 'Duke' like an extension; the evasive sound that grabs you by the throat, it starts slowly but surely, bam the chorus recalls the end of the 70s with the fruity keyboard; it's soft and jerky, it's calm and catchy, it's the fusion of genres between Charisma and festive bucolic; it's typical of Albion with the trombone in the distance, it's like a digestive walk before going to the musical circus; a creative surge, Phil's shouted voice showing that he had a beautiful voice; the sudden break with Tony's velvety keyboards, great; a second soaring moment and a substitute for the already nostalgic 'And Then', GENESIS is definitely there; velvety, cottony, even the rhythm box of the 'Duke' that gets involved, induced memory! 4 Keep It Dark hammers home the radio-calibrated sound, remember MTV was there; fat keyboard that writes the plot, the guitar missing, the synthetic drums that were already in the ambient air

5 Dodo / Lurker begins the second side, the CD era not having arrived yet, just in gestation; this sound that will give freshness, quality and a colder digital sound too; in short we are in it with this progressive title full of bass, fat and juicy synths; finished the finesse of the 70s, the big sound that stains makes its appearance to boost the new-wave of the prog field; the air is easily declined, captivating, catchy, without a hitch but without the feeling fiber; the break that feels coming with layers of keyboards, synths stacked on top of each other will be the pinnacle before a phrasing and its gluttony of Tony, disconcerting because minimalist but in tune with the times; A piece that exceeds 7 minutes and that seems to be already a little too long, prog paroxysm 6 Who Dunnit? seems to represent the outro of the previous title with the air boosted in the excessive synth dynamics, it is on the edge of syncopation, danceability, replay, heady; it's crazy how the delicacy of GENESIS has faded for this musical deluge, cacophonous eh no I didn't write it, oh yes; the short title that you wait for it to stop, caught in an 80s progressive spiral 7 Man On The Corner yes we would believe in 'In the Air Tonight'; the perfect 80s sound that starts off gently, stereo, captivating, marshmallow-like, yes we sink into this ballad title with its sampled claps; well a title that proves that Phil held the vocal place well; finally founding this title; a group in the 80s will do even better with hits without guitar, as if everything is possible 8 Like It Or Not for the soft ballad bis, with a crystalline keyboard, electronic drums and the voice, simple but the magic fades in the face of the rhythm 9 Another Record for the intro signing the prog sound of the 80s, a page is turned, place for the rhythm to dance on it, an incredible paradox that works in addition; a nice alternative to those who went on the new-wave, good or not it is necessary to note afterwards the research of Tony which shows that the man at the helm is indeed him.
