5 stars 1. Deep departure on the edge between softness and nervousness, dark rock, a thread stretched towards prog rock with the soft melody; Daniel gives us one of those solos for which he has the secret and which makes me a fan of this group; short deep piece! 2. Pitiless chained, ah I love titles which actually fit into the concept, which don't leave you alone; the sound is more violent, a hint of what they produced before, in short here I'm not looking for reminiscences, just the madness of listening to ANATHEMA 3. Forgotten Hopes also hung on for almost 12 minutes with this title in fact; the guitar arpeggio with the metronomic drums, the oozing, dripping notes, sharp spleen, the ballad which is grafted on top, the prog flows freely, a torrent, a river; the fat, saturated solo, that's it, the hairs stand up suddenly and this rumbling guitar; the intoxicating choruses for the finale 4. Destiny Is Dead continues, we arrive at 14 minutes with all that; the pronounced comma note coming out of the speakers; this progressive interlude, an endless dreamlike crescendo that unfolds endlessly in less than 2 minutes 5. Make It Right (F.F.S.) that's it, the second track starts, dark atmosphere, vibrating bass, reverb; room for languorous keyboards for a fresh cold wave sound; the air nods, it shows the interest of the keyboard too much criticized during the 80s and the progressive atmosphere which results from it; ecstatic dreamlike latency 6. One Last Goodbye crystalline acoustic arpeggio, starting, Vincent in a muffled, exhilarating lament, an air of deep despair before coming back up and giving the energy of Life; the ANATHEMA sound is that, softness of the instruments, fusion of notes, amalgamation of the voice and soaring, atmospheric drift, Nirvana with again this plaintive guitar which straightens the barely dried hair: the crescendo emerges; one of the most visual pieces, the most attractive, the most fun... and Daniel gives us a solo 'the way I like them', everything is perfect!

7. Parisienne Moonlight and the slap... monolithic piano, syrupy keyboard and Lee yes a woman, ah but yes in duet but I only hear her, what a magnificent attempt to introduce her; not neutral am I? But if I relate his arrival on this beautiful interlude title, ah piano 8. Judgment follows, yes Lee has indeed inherited the introduction of the eponymous title, the one which melts the most irreducible of recalcitrant progues; it's Daniel who sings there, who whispers... the rise, he shouts, it explodes, a Floydian Wallian touch, John hits hard too, we return to the fine sound of the first version, uncompromising doom heavy prog without the screamed voice; this climb to see in concert is just enjoyable; the ending that suddenly goes off the rails, surprising you 9. Don't Look Too Far animalistic arpeggio at the start before leaving on a torrid convoluted lament with Lee in second; tortured guitar, one of the group's most and the title latent atmospheric post rock ballad, to dream, meditate, cry; a marshmallow title a priori without character which shows that we can be moving without noise 10. Emotional Winter, the consensual piece in which I find the most Wallian sounds, a softer title in fact, in continuity, less expressive until this final outro with prog blood 11. Wings of God vaguely villainous title, riot of undulating power; we don't ride the wings of a God like that; rocked between softness and violence, between the sound of before and the sounds of now like a musical Yin & Yang; the variation on the solo to continue gravitating with joy, maintaining the torrid atmosphere and the wah-wah pedal that cries; 2 titles that lack that little extra on one side, which are there to drown us in notes and keep us on the lookout 12. Anyone, Anywhere acoustic neo-classical guitar in stereo, piano by Dario dark, haughty; captivating, hypnotic nursery rhyme, the piano builds the tune, makes it move forward, Vincent has a beautiful voice whatever people say; the explosion calm, we remain classic but metallic, we feel the palpitations of this fusion of guitar-piano and aerial vocals; we feel the emotion in the firmament, turgid red, we feel the musical beauty, the expectation of white 13. 2000 and Gone as an outro, the final piece, the end of album trailer, the music plays, we wake up, we get dressed before getting up and leaving; a latent, atmospheric sound, of THE CURE with the strident, plaintive guitar, this will be the key word of this chronicle, the ANATHEMA sound which lets you go home by instilling in you notes of hope for the return, simply fabulous.
