5 stars There are many concept albums that my father and elder brother were talking about and playing to me. And frankly speaking, among Jesus Christ Superstar, Tommy, Tales from Topographic Ocean, Quadrophenia, Lamb Lies Down on Broadway, Saga Generation X, Neal Morse albums, only half of them I really like. I belong to a younger generation and for me some concept albums are a bit dull or outdated in music or sound. But about a year ago my friends from Germany advised me to listen to the Modern-Rock Ensemble album "Night Dreams & Wishes". They told me that it's a Suite and since my friends are either professional or classically educated musicians they commented to me that there are great arrangements and melodies on the album. I've listened to some parts of the album briefly at that time, and then it got my attention again 3 weeks ago. To tell the truth, I didn't get it from the first listen and was dedicated to "digest" it now. And honestly, it was totally worth giving that extra time. I am glad I comeback to it after a year. There are certain pieces that became the keys to understanding the Suite and its charming beauty: "Intro", "Overture", "Night Comes. Dreams", "Dark Kingdom and the Evil King" Part 1, "Wake Up". Afterwards I've got the whole idea and the whole thing. I might be wrong, but sometimes this album or better to say ? its moods - reminds me of Jesus Christ Superstar. However, they are really different. This album is quite diverse in style: cosmic prog, jazz rock, hard rock, classical music ? all fused in progressive rock package, developing with a machine gun speed. All in all, this is definitely a significant piece of progrock, which deserves being discovered and learned with every new listen. And also buying the album was the smart choice - the cover is really stunning, it's an art piece in itself!
