3 stars This is the BJH's first post-Wostenholme album, "Eyes of the Universe" finds the band to continue on the same melodic art rock with pop touch. Without mellotron of Wooly the band show a music more open and commercial but donīt missed your style. Les Holroys is now the pop-men of the band:"Love on The Line"; "Rock Roll Lady" but made a beautiful and symphonic "Play to the world". John Lees made a symphonic "Sperratus" and folk-rock commercial in "Capricorn" and "Skin Flicks" (the final of this music is a copy of Moody Blues "Question"...). This album is good but without surprise. In 1979, prog rock are in bad situation and this album is another example which the magic is gone. The butterfly flight for another planet...
