5 stars 2nd release? Still a MASTERPIECE!

One Hour by the Concrete Lake is the second full-length album of the Swedish band. Pain of Salvation, after the release of an excellent debut, continue to compose and perform excellent music.

The band is now mature and uses all his wisdom to compose a beautiful concept. Daniel Gindenlow, who writes the music for this album too, narrates an ecological concept, that has to do with the environment's pollution and its gradual disaster. The album's atmosphere and the tracks' cohesion are marvellous. All this is attainted by a variety of elements: The out of space voice of Daniel, the absolutely awesome guitars, the new member, Johan Hallgren, excellent guitarist and character, the fantastic rhythm section of Johan and Kristoffer and, finally, the always beautifully arranged keys of Fredrik. The band continues to have its unique style of its own music. The production is perfect. It's clear from the beginning that some defects that were noticed at Entropia's production, are all absent now. Everything is perfect...

Pain of Salvation continue to surprise, continue to create, continue to redefine the Progressive's meaning. They stabilize themselves through the Masters of Prog and promise an excellent and full of beauties, career.

This album proves that the band is on its pinnacle and this will go on until nowdays. 5 stars! Nothing less, nothing more!
