THIRD

Have recently rediscovered my vinyl collection and Soft Machine "Third" is an oustanding listen 30-odd years later. It still sounds dangerous, brave and, above all, challenging. This is my preferred Softs line-up. They work so well together, making improvisation sound so simple. Still baffles me how this lot toured with Hendrix! What amazing shows they must have been. This is available on CD, but I'd strongly recommend getting the vinyl.
