4 stars This album came out in 1996 and I remember getting later in the year. There are some really standout songs and this album also shows the talent and creativity in the band. The guest musicians are great bonus and strangely Vesa Auvinen isn't credited as a bandmember. but mentioned as one of the guests. Other 'visitors' included are Ade Manninen on electric guitar and former Scarab mate Mika Hella playing acoustic guitar on several bits and pieces here and there.

Album begins with Rituals i (Hymn To Lappland) a strange chant fading in and out. Forever Returns would be a nice show opener and Chainsaw Murders (horrible name) has a jazzy feel and obscure lyrics. Freeways are the faster songs. Polyphemus is the powerful, bass driven rhythm interplay leading to atmospheric Hidden Space with excellent singing. Take Us All gives a nod towards Solsbury Hill, with a Led Zeppelin type of acoustic guitar. Silent Partners opens with a powerful riff, nice guitar/organ interplay here as well. Next song is humoristic song Problems and leads to acoustic number Rituals II (Renaissance).

The last track is the epic Mortal Wings Of Sin II and is one of the best songs from Ageness ever. This album is great indication of the bands talent.
