2 stars The Who's debut came with the birth of what is known today by "classic rock", this is surely disappointing though, very basic song-writing, mixing r'n'b with rock'n'roll, like all the bands from that time, no wonder that the Beatles were so successful with their psychedelic rock, because this "more-of-the-same" is really tiring.

Yet, this album contains two fabulous pieces, "My Generation" and "The Kids Are Alright", but compared to what would come in The Who's career, only "The Ox", a psychedelic instrumental, gives away what this band would become.

This is pretty unnecessary, there are lot of pointless songs, yet it is still fun to hear something made almost 50 years ago and observe how was the rock scene growing back then.
