4 stars Upon learning of a new Fish-era live Marillion 6-disc box set to be released by EMI in late 2008, I was thrilled. This set does not disappoint in the least. Although the sound quality of the first two CDs is not as perfect as the legendary Curtain Call set (or the remaining 4 discs of Early Stages either), the listener does not mind because, in a way, it helps to convey the power and energy of this band - even at this very early point of their career.

I would go as far to say as this set is more intimate than Curtain Call as you get to hear more of Fish's between-song ramblings, setting up each tune and connecting with the audience throughout.

I give this set 4 stars instead of 5, but only because of the slightly-less-than-perfect audio quality of the first 2 discs. The performances are outstanding throughout and an absolute must-have set for any Fish- era Marillion fan.
