3 stars I put in a bid on Ebay for the live album some days ago. Mostly because of the Prog Archives reviews and the price (hilarious low). I hope I will win it later tonight. So I thought it was perhaps a good idea to dust of my copy of Bedside Manners Are Extra. I have played it only once a couple of years ago before I dedicated a couple of days to run through it.

I first notice Pilgrims Progress. A very good tune. The rest of the songs are good too. The music is drenched in keys and it is obvious that David Greenslade and Dave Lawson knows what they are doing. The vocals too are good. Pilgrims Progress is a very good tune. The same goes for Drum Folk. The rest of the material is good and easy-listening. Not offensive, but nothing special too. The title track doesn't do anything for me. I find that track and the rest of the album very suited to background noise when reading a book or making an atom-bomb, but nothing more. I am not so sure if I want to pursue a collection of the Greenslade albums after all.

3 stars and no offense towards Greenslade intended.
