actually we should called this is the first Eloy album becouse Frank Bornemann became band leader. Inside is the one mighty fine rock album from the early 70's. many listener make is in comparing Eloy to bands like Pink Floyd, Focus, Jethro Tull or Hawkwind, and to my experience; I am in a position to confirm: Eloy's sound does not resemble any band!! i can easly say this band is unique Album starts with land of no body hard jamming, throughout its 17 minute breatless, different rhythm section, switching moods perfectly. I was completely floating with the melody,transported into another world by the spacey atmosphere, and enthralled by the excellent musicianship from the guitars of Frank Bornemann to the powerful and complex drumming of Fritz Randow (he is very talented drummer bytheway) the very melancolic Up and down was the first eloy song I've ever heard than i became huge fan of'em. I love this song, what a pity the sound is with simple chords? album is the intricate change of mood and tempo, each song going from calm and atmospheric, to jumbled aggression within the lengthy songs about ambiguous mysticism. Inside (including nice guitar solo by Frank Bornemann(Gibson ofcourse)) and Future City are also very good songs.

Inside does do a good job of displaying Eloy's masterful abilities, many years later I will be still listen to Eloy and still to this day get the same enjoyment, the same feeling of musical satisfaction and fulfillment.
