THE INCONSOLABLE SECRET

OK, this is my first Glass Hammer album and also probably my last. If it were an instrumental only album I might give it four stars. There is some very good keyboard driven prog here that reminds you a little of ELP but is original enough. The problem comes for me when the vocals come in. The flow of the songs change and then they tell a story. I am not sure if it is the singer's voice or the lyrics themselves or what, but the vocals really sound cheesy, corny, sappy or all of the above. If there is an instrumental only Glass Hammer album out there I would be interested, but that's it for me.
