Often regarded as one of their finest studio releases Liege and Lief embarks on even more solid folk sounding themes. The late Sandy Denny delivers great vocals on the rallying opening track Come All Ye. Richard Thompson as usual commanding the set throughout the album. Check out other great tracks like ' Farewell Farewell and the lengthy Tam Lin. The bonus release in 2002 also offers to extra songs but for purists the original album will be the main point of reference. A solid and good release from FC.
