SELECTED EKSEPTION

Well, this is my only exposure to Ekseption, and it obviously makes me think of Sky. Both bands have done treatments of a fair number of the same classical masterpieces. And while Sky would never be accused of being edgy. This release from Ekseption is fluffy enough to make Sky seem hard. Which is a feat. The second disc of this compilation departs from the classics and provides a little more punch. In some parts it sounds like ELP. But overalll this is a very lightweight upbeat harmless aand ultimately boring collection of music.
