IN THE LAND OF GREY AND PINK

Caravan is usually a little too whimsical for me to get into. I prefer the more mature approach of Hatfield and the North or National Health. That being said, I make an exception with this disc. In the Land of Grey and Pink is really an amazing album. It's very poppy for Canterbury music, and I find it difficult to think of this album as being in the same genre as, say, Matching Mole. Nevertheless, this is probably my favorite pop album of all time, with perhaps the exception of Love's Forever Changes.
