5 stars This is such a great album. It's hard to believe it came out in 1967. It has to be one of the strongest early influences on future progressive rockers. The combination of Jim Morrison's lyrics and Ray Manzarek's amazing organ playing never gets old for me. And , oh Yeah, Krieger and Densmore are no slouches either. Light My Fire is one of my favourite songs of all time, but all of the tracks are strong in my opinion. Then we get to 'The End'. There is some wacky sh..tuff going on in this song! They were able to get by the censors and get their point across. 'Mother, I want to ohhhahhh'. Definitely one of the early progressive masterpieces in my book.
