SPACE ROCK - AN INTERSTELAR TRAVELER'S GUIDE

This is essentially a great album wich features almost any spacerock band (sans Pink Floyd and Eloy) from the sixties uptil now. We get soundscapes, psychrock, stonerrock, krautrock, more ambient music, progressive spacerock etc. Everything is gathered on this 6cd boxset.

For me it doesn't work well. Because a lot bands, I really don't like. To experimental and going nowhere. Especially bands like Popol Vuh and Can just don't rock my boat.

On the other hand there are pretty nifty bands featured like Ozric Tentacles and Hidria Spacefolk. All in all, it's a really great introduction to a wide variety of bands and styles. And a welcome and handy set to discover new bands.

Hopefully I will discover some new bands. Because I like a lot of Spacerock, just not so into krautrock and psychrock.
